Upon completion of the requirements, please call BPI Merchant Sales Department at 8989426/27, 8989398, 8455168, and 8169642 (fax), or email us at merchant@bpi.com.ph to request for a Merchant Assistant to visit your establishment and pick up the documents. Or, you may submit the documents at 17th floor BPI Card Center, 8753 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City.

How long is the standard processing time?
Processing time is 7-10 working days from the date of submission of complete required documents. However, all applications are still subject to final approval by BPI.

Will I incur any cost on using a BPI POS terminal?
Yes. BPI charges the merchant a Merchant Discount Rate, the percentage charged on each sale which varies per type of industry. BPI will likewise deduct the applicable withholding tax of 0.5% from the gross sales of all credit card and prepaid card transactions.

How will I be reimbursed as a merchant?
As a merchant, you are required to open an account with any BPI branch of your choice. You may also nominate an existing account which will serve as your BPI Merchant Settlement account. Upon settlement of the POS terminal, BPI will then credit the proceeds to your account next banking day (net of merchant discount rate and 0.5% withholding tax).

Will I be receiving reports of all my card transactions?
Yes. The transaction journals will be delivered to your outlet. You may also receive TJs via email by enrolling in Electronic Merchant Transaction Journal (MPTJ), or via BPI Expresslink where you log-on to BPI’s corporate website and view or download the daily transaction journals.

If I’m already existing merchant, how do I apply for affiliation of my other branch/es?
You may fax the BIR Certificate of Registration and DTI registration (if the rade name/merchant DBA name differs from the corporate name) to 8169642.
